Global hard disk drives (HDD) outlook remains bright. According to Trendfocus, FY09-12 HDD shipments are expected to grow at a 3-year CAGR of 11.6%. We believe the demand for HDD will be mainly fuelled by:
1) new server purchases and replacement to 2.5’’ HDDs (from 3.5’’);
2)IT replacement cycle due to adoption of Windows 7; and
3)growingdemand for gaming and data storage for media.
